About
Verite Validation and Verification Systems was founded by a team of data professionals that specialize in the public and private sector health insurance industries, specifically architecting data warehouse systems for fighting Health Insurance Fraud on a day-to-day basis.
After years of experience and the analysis of tens of billions of claims, we have isolated several of the most-costly forms of organized fraud, and engineered game-changing systems that target specific types of fraud, each one custom-designed in such a way as to prevent criminals from receiving even one dollar from a fraudulent claim. Using our unique, Patent Pending, innovative systems, you can finally say goodbye to the "Pay and Chase" syndrome.
We can offer your organization either complete turn-key implementation of our technology, or you can provide some or all of the systems implementation and maintenance personnel. Most companies prefer to have us handle at least the initial systems integration of the biometric and other hardware elements of our proprietary, system-specific, components, and use their internal or already-contracted database vendor for implementaion of other, more-familiar, database-driven components of the architecture. This also provides assurance to the insurer that we never get near their private claims data or sensitive HIPAA beneficiary data.
Our system is designed from the ground up to minimize the upfront and ongoing cost to the insurer, and instead charge a small (pennies) per-transaction "technology fee", either to the medical service provider or the insurer. Additionally, we will provide all necessary hardware on a lease basis, further eliminating upfront costs to implement our system. With the immediate savings your organization will realize from preventative fraud reduction, our systems pay for themselves immediately, not after having first had to amortize purchased equipment.
Our system can use any existing biometric modality currently installed at providers' place of business, as well as our own facial-recognition cameras, if desired. For the least-costly, and quickest time to implementation, we also offer a modality which can use the camera on a smartphone, combined with our proprietary imaging technology installed on the users' phones. This is especially useful for home health service providers, ambulance providers, and other providers where equipment installation is prohibitive.
An added benefit of implementing our provider-location based systems, is the unique ability to measure the amount of time a patient spends at the Provider's location during each visit. This not only helps detect possible upcoding fraud, but can give you a handle on the quality of care being received by your beneficiaries from each Provider. When Providers realize that they are being graded on various previously-unreported-on metrics, such as the amount of time a patient spends in the waiting room, they will be encouraged to improve the quality of care they are dispensing to your beneficiaries, resulting in a healthier, less-costly, insured population. The less time that a patient spends in the waiting room, surrounded by and breathing the same air as other sick patients, the less likely they are to contact another aliment in addition to the one they visited the Provider for in the first place.
